To start I have to say that this couple will be one that I will always remember and keep close in my heart.
Nessie emailed me 2 weeks before they had planned flying into Maine to elope. Her email was filled with humor, authenticity, and her entire heart. She mentioned to me how crazy she knew it seemed since it was so last minute but the reason being she had recently been diagnosed with cancer, and while they had their wedding date set for this coming November, with chemo needing to be completed they said forget it, why wait anyway?!
So they re-designed their wedding day and said yes to Maine’s wilderness at Acadia National Park. They even said, “this is more like us anyway.”
We had so much fun gallivanting around the park during the day, laughing and crying through their ceremony on Otter Cliffs, climbing rocks, eating from their yummy charcuterie boards, and even capturing the nights sky. I really feel like I left with two new friends. These two are personable and entirely lovely in every way. Their love is the kind from story books but the real kind…which is even more magical. (,: So enjoy falling in love with them just as I did on this most perfect, sunny, and glorious September day.
