I will never forget the day I opened my email and saw the subject line: “Greece?!”

I know Meg from college and had photographed Meg and Alex’s winter wedding that past February. Not only was it already super exciting to photograph a college friend’s wedding, but Meg was positively beaming with happiness as they said their “I dos” surrounded by a stunning and mountainous, winter setting.  

But when she asked me to photograph their honeymoon in MYKONOS, GREECE…I just about keeled over! I literally jumped up from my seat and screamed!

Traveling is such a passion of mine so getting the opportunity to combine photography AND travel was a dream come true. 

That’s the best word, to sum up the trip: a DREAM. 

My husband and I flew in early to scout out some areas for their photoshoot the following day. Truthfully though, you can’t go wrong in Mykonos. Just look at the white stone buildings adorned by bursts of color from blue doors and the orange and pink flowers that hang over the winding, cobblestone streets. That’s not even including the towering windmills, rocky beaches, historic churches, and everything in-between. 

Everywhere we turned, there was something beautiful to look at – Meg and Alex fit right in! 

To end our amazing night, we all shared a meal together at a nearby restaurant before parting ways. They told us all about their plan to island hop as we  “ooo’d” and “aww’d” and admired the sun setting below the mountain range.
