Chelsie and Nick’s engagement shoot was magical. It is always extra special to have a personal connection with the couple. In this case, I’ve known Chelsie since grade school–and it was such a treat to photograph her engagement! Chelsie and Nick were college sweethearts, and their love and affection for each other comes across in every photo together. 

The couple wanted natural scenery with mountain vistas, which made Foss Mountain the perfect choice. Frolicking around the mountaintop was so much fun with these two, and I was able to get some amazing candids in the natural environment. The gorgeous fall colors provided a stunning backdrop while still allowing the couple to take center stage. 

As a bonus, the sun put on quite a show at the end of the day, giving us incredible lighting for the final photos!

Engagement photos are a wonderful way to mark the occasion. Plus, they’re perfect to use for save-the-date cards, wedding websites, and sharing engagement news with loved ones on social media. I’m especially a fan of photoshoots in nature, which capture ease and elegance that can’t be matched by studio shoots. Having a natural background–whether in the mountains, on the beach, or at a city park–adds a dynamic element to the photos that truly makes them special.

I’m delighted I was able to celebrate Chelsie and Nick’s engagement with them, and I know these are photos they will treasure for years to come!
